project details "Escritos a Máquina" is a conceptual book; all the poems in it were constructed using an invented machine that the author, Celeste Gianetti, created by disassembling a dictionary, cutting out words, and placing them inside a toy spinner.
Her writing method is related to chance. She would spin the spinner, pick out a couple of words, and then write poems using the words that came up. "I suppose it's because they are considered unpredictable, and that's why what I'm trying to do in this book is to systematize chance and use it to express myself." says Celeste.

To design the cover, we took the invention of the typewriter as a starting point and associated the idea of systematizing chance with the process of play, something playful. With these references and elements, we began to create an illustration that eventually resulted in a single digital piece. In a way, and unintentionally, the parts of the cover design also came together randomly, much like the poems inside the book.
